Sant Miquel del Fai, a place where nature and culture go hand in hand. In this monumental complex, the force of water has shaped a unique and singular geological landscape, and the weight of history has left a fascinating mark.
During the visit you will be able to enjoy an exhibition, an audiovisual and a signposted itinerary that will allow you to penetrate into this privileged environment, which is part of the Espai Natural dels Cingles de Bertí.
The medieval abbey of Sant Miquel del Fai has the only Romanesque hermitage built in a cave in Catalonia. The gravity-defying complex, perched on the rocks, is located in the Tenes valley, between rocks and waterfalls over 100 meters high.
One of the most popular festivals of the town, the Enramadas de Arbúcies brings together the neighbors to unleash their imagination and create carpets of natural flowers that show figurative elements, current issues or aspects that characterize Arbúcies.
The festival begins on Saturday, when the drawings are made on the ground and, the next day, starting in the morning, the floral carpets are made. The natural flowers and leaves used come mainly from Montseny, as well as from other places in the area.
Finally, the winning carpets are chosen and announced on Sunday afternoon. After the awards ceremony, a parade passes over the carpets that turn the streets into rivers of color.
